Kamala Devam
This is my lovely friend Kamala, a bharat natyam dancer, performing at one of my India soirees.
She is now teaching dance, choreography and performing in London.
Did you know that a bharat natyam dancer is often sewn into their costume after all the pleating is done? And also, Kamalas braid is so long she ties it to her belt in the back to keep it from hitting her in the face when she dances.

Wow, I went over and her little bio page, very cool.
She is gorgeous and it looks like she is quite the amazing dancer too.
I don't know about the being sewn into your clothes thing, I tell ya, what people will do for their art.

I am just amazed at all a person can learn on this thing known as the Internet. My only question is why am I drawn to so many Saggitarians. I love it but it is scary for sure...ED
